On June 2, 2018, thirty of our staff members at Tri-Starr Personnel participated in the San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup! This day-long event had companies from all corners of San Antonio flocking to compete in a variety of competitions such as tug-of-war, dodgeball, corn toss, a 5K run and much more. There was also a t-shirt contest, tailgate contest and a barbecue contest that took place throughout the day. This year, over 80 companies participated and made donations toward the many sports and fitness programs for San Antonio youth. Companies could also donate clothes, food, school supplies and blood. This year alone, 1,258,932 pounds of food (983,541 meals) and 9,695 pints of blood were donated, as well as $23,664.83 in monetary donations to purchase school supplies.
This was Tri-Starr’s first year participating in the Corporate Cup and we are already looking forward to next year! “Overall it was an exciting and fun day to spend with co-workers and impact our community” Densie
Verduchi, who participated in the corn toss and 2K walk, said. “It was so fun to walk through the tailgating area to see how companies decorated their booths.” Tri-Starr made donations to San Antonio Sports, San Antonio Boys & Girls Club, Haven for Hope, the San Antonio Food Bank and contributed to multiple blood donations.
We encourage any company in the San Antonio area to sign up for next year’s San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup to compete or volunteer! This fantastic event helps promote team bonding within the company as well as helping give back to the community.
