4 Reasons to Live in San Antonio: Ambitious Economic Growth and More - tri-starr talent

reasons to live in san antonioAccording to Jenna Saucedo-Herrera, quoted in Texas CEO Magazine, “In 5 to 10 years, you will not recognize the San Antonio you are experiencing today.” Herrera, the president and CEO of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation (SAEDF), has ambitious plans for the future of San Antonio.

Already, large corporations are flocking to the city. CaptureRx, an IT company serving more than 2,700 pharmacies and 500 hospitals, plans to expand and relocate their headquarters to San Antonio. The city is also one of two finalists for the location of 500 new jobs from the television-streaming giant, Hulu. San Antonio is also investing in large companies in order to strengthen the relationship between the city and the corporations. The San Antonio City Council recently authorized the SAEDF to invest in bioAffinity Technologies. As a part of the agreement, bioAffinity will more than double its current workforce.

She believes that young professionals choose the city where they want to live, and then find a job. “That’s a different dynamic and we need to be that city they are looking for.” SAEDF aims to convert the many positives of living in San Antonio into economic growth.
